Your Own Memorial Day Retrospective

If you have a regular Memorial Day tradition, it’s a great time to make your own slideshow retrospective of Memorial Days past. The years you visited friends or family to celebrate the start of summer. Those backyard parties. And, of course, the parades.

Apple Photos makes that really easy on iPhone or Mac with the Search function. In just a few clicks you can make a collection or slideshow to enjoy and share of your activities on Memorial Days long and not-so-long ago.

Just put “Memorial Day” in the search field. Photos is smart enough to know that date for each year and will create a collection of the pictures you took over the years. It’s that simple.

Then you can select photos from the search results and make an album by tapping the ellipsis (3-dots) or the Share icon and adding your selections to a new Album.

When you go to Albums you can long press (on iPhone) or Control-Click (on Mac) and chose to create a Memory Movie, complete with music.
